Alcohol brands you were drinking but probably didn’t know were owned by celebrities.
The art of distilling and winemaking is finding its way into the hearts of many celebrities, with each brand bringing a cult following behind it. From the silver screen to fashion houses to rappers and singers, here are some go-to alcohol brands that are owned by your favorite icons.
Chopin Vodka, Vera Wang

Vera Wang is known for making people look fashionable. But did you know that this celebrity fashion designer has collaborated with a Polish producer to make vodkas? After experimenting with a wide range of vodkas, Wang grew fond of Chopin Vodka, the Polish small-batch vodka brand. When the company sent her a gift, Wang reached out directly to Chopin founder Tad Dorda, and a beautiful partnership was born. The Vera Wang X Chopin Vodka (limited edition) is made purely with potatoes sustainably grown and sourced without chemicals or pesticides in the village of Krzesk, Poland. The nose is of subtle green apple and vanilla with a creamy and earthy taste. It has a full-bodied mouthfeel with a long and clean finish.

Ingredients:
- 2 oz Vera Wang x Chopin Vodka
- 1 oz Dorda Coconut Liqueur
- 1 oz Orange Juice
- 0.25 oz Lime Juice
- Fresh Grated Nutmeg
- Orange Slice for Garnish
- Crushed Ice
Fill a tall glass with crushed ice and add all the ingredients. Give it a good mix and cheers!
818 Tequila, Kendall Jenner

American model and ‘Keeping up with Kardashians’ star Kendall Jenner has recently launched her very own tequila brand. The 818 Tequila has shown an astronomically early success by selling out just four hours after its launch and attracting orders from 80 countries. The brand works closely with local, family-owned farms in Jalisco, Mexico. The liquor is available in blanco, reposado, and añejo varieties. The Blanco is rested in French oak whereas the Reposado and Añejo are rested in White American oak barrels.
818 Blanco - Taste - sweet agave and vanilla, with undertones of tropical and citrus fruit.
Aroma - lemongrass, mild floral elements, chamomile, and light minerality.
Finish - ultra-smooth with a bright and crispy finish, notes of almond, key lime pie, and toasted coconut.
818 Reposado - Taste - ripe roasted agave flavor with notes of caramel and vanilla.
Aroma - vanilla, meringue, honey, and fruit accents.
Finish - smooth caramel finish with notes of sweet cooked agave and pecan pie.
818 Añejo - Taste - vanilla, sweet agave, and crisp herbal notes.
Aroma - caramel, toasted nuts, orange peel, chocolate, and toffee.
Finish - very long silk, rich and full-bodied.

Ingredients:
- 2oz 818 Tequila Blanco
- 1 oz lime
- 0.5 oz simple syrup
- Muddled cucumber slices
- Muddled mint
Add all the ingredients to a shaker, mix well and pour it over ice. Top with soda and cucumber slices for garnish.

Cincoro Tequila is owned by five basketball rivals turned friends including Michael Jordan, Emilia Fazzalari, Wyc Grousbeck, Jeanie Buss, and Wes Edens. The Tequila is made from natural agave, sourced from the private farms of both the highlands and lowlands of Jalisco, Mexico. Cincoro is now among the most expensive and luxurious tequila brands sold today. The brand’s expressions are blanco, reposado, añejo and extra añejo.
Blanco - Taste - smooth and complex, fresh and cooked agave, citrus (lime, grapefruit), light vanilla.
Aroma - slightly sweet, fresh, and cooked agave, light vanilla.
Finish - fresh agave, citrus, light vanilla, pepper.
Reposado - Taste - smooth, slightly sweet, light oak, cooked agave, caramelized vanilla, white chocolate.
Aroma - cooked Agave, with hints of vanilla, baking spices, toasted creme brûlée.

Try it in a cocktail:
Ingredients:
- 2 oz Cincoro Reposado Tequila
- 2 oz Fresh grapefruit juice
- ¼ oz Fresh lime juice
- ¼ oz Light agave nectar
Shake all ingredients except the club soda with ice and strain over fresh ice in a tall glass. Enjoy!

Snoop Dogg, professionally known as an American rapper, songwriter, and singer is also quite a successful businessman, with investments in many businesses... Snoop Dogg teamed up with 19 Crimes wine to create his very own Cali Red blend. It's the brand’s first California wine and features 65% Petite Syrah, 30% Zinfandel, and 5% Merlot. The brand got its name from the nineteen crimes that turned convicts into colonists. The brand offers a variety of wines but the ones featuring Snoop Dogg are:
19 Crimes Snoop Cali Rosé
The bottle has a ripe strawberry note along with delicate floral and rose petal aromas. The taste is fruit-forward with notes of fresh raspberry, strawberry, and red cherry. It gives a pleasant mouthfeel with balanced acidity and sweetness.

The color is full and dense, with strong black and blue fruit notes upfront from the Petite Syrah, complemented by bright red, slightly candied fruit in the background from the Zinfandel. It tastes of darkly toasted oak and ties it all together with a slightly sweet finish.

Virginia Black is a collaboration between Brent Hocking, founder, and creator of the original deleón tequila; and award-winning artist, songwriter, rapper, and actor, Drake. The collection is personally selected from two, three and four-year-old bourbons finished with a decadent profile. This high-rye bourbon has a deep, tawny hue, and a sweet scent that suggests raisins, dried figs, and vanilla. Often compared to cognac, the smooth palate shows notes of honeyed cherries, rich vanilla, and oak finishing along with hints of toffee, orange peel, and baking spice. Best enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or as the defining element of a decadent cocktail.

Ingredients:
- 2 oz. Virginia Black
- 3/4 oz. fresh grapefruit juice
- 1/2 oz. lime juice
- 1/2 oz. agave nectar
- 1/2 oz. bloody mary mix pinch of Himalayan sea salt
Mix up all the ingredients well, pour them over ice and enjoy sipping!
Crystal Head Vodka, Dan Aykroyd

Dan Aykroyd, the Canadian actor, and comedian is known for his Blues Brothers role launched his original premium "clean" vodka in 2008. The Crystal Head Vodka crafts the purest, smoothest vodka with one-of-a-kind packaging and imaginative thinking. Dan Aykroyd and John Alexander designed the iconic skull-shaped bottle as a symbol of life, reflecting power and enlightenment. The vodka is distilled four times into a neutral grain spirit and blended with pristine water from Newfoundland, Canada. Later it is filtered seven times, of which three are through layers of semi-precious crystals known as Herkimer diamonds. On the nose, it has neutral grain aromas with a delicate touch of citrus. Ingredients:
- 2.5 oz. Crystal Head Vodka
- ¼ oz. Dry Vermouth
- Baby corn
Add the vodka and dry vermouth to the mixing glass, shake it well with ice for 15-20 seconds. Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with baby corn.
