Tiny’s and the Bar Upstairs

The bar came about when siblings Ana, Matt, and Jack set out to create a neighborhood spot that welcomes everyone. Now pink, lively, and Instagrammable, the spot wasn’t always like that. In fact, Tiny’s and the Bar Upstairs is a revamped version of an old 1800s townhouse. Whether you plan to pop in for brunch, lunch, or dinner - the cocktails are worth the buzz - even on a weekday. We recommend the Servando’s Palomarita (Hibiscus Infused Tequila, Pamplemousse Rose, Lime, Grapefruit, and Tajin Salt). The bar also serves a small craft beer menu, and there’s something for wine lovers too!

If you’re going on a first date in Tribeca, then Weather Up is definitely one to check out. The original bar is a small, tiled establishment located in Prospect Heights Brooklyn, and was regarded by connoisseurs as the borough’s first true craft cocktail bar. Weather Up Tribeca brings a diverse cocktail culture with a romantic ambiance. Plus they have a $1 oyster happy hour from 5 pm to 7 pm - and who are we to deny $1 oysters. With mezcal taking over many bars, Weather Up doesn’t fall behind. Try the Diablito - made with Mezcal, Suze Gentian Liqueur, lime, ginger, and Créme de Cassis.

Smith & Mills

Just across the street from The Greenwich Hotel in Tribeca lies Smith & Mills - a cozy, hip bar in a converted carriage house. With vintage decor and inward seating, Smith & Mills’ design is very Bauhaus and constructivism inspired. Since it’s small, you might want to snag a spot whenever possible. While you’re there, don’t forget to try the Papi Collins (Tequila, Becherovka, cucumber, honey, sriracha bitters, and spicy salt). We also love the poached shrimp for dinner. Be sure to ask someone on the floor for a wine recommendation.

Whiskey lovers, Nancy Whiskey Pub exists just for you. There’s a short shuffleboard table and the drinks are cheap - what else could one ask for? The bar also has live music throughout the week, featuring local artists on stage. The pub mainly focuses on local whiskeys and beers, so if you’re one who appreciates a neat bourbon, then hop on over. They’re also known for their off-beat celebrations - especially the 4th of July, where the pub puts out a blow-up pool on the pavement. Don’t miss out on the fun!
